Uyuni Salt Pans (Bolivia)

Uyuni Salt Pans is the largest in the world - a sea of salt, in a fantasy world of its own. At an elevation of over 3600 meters, it covers more than 12,000 square kilometers and is the dried out remnants of an ancient sea that once covered most of southern Bolivia. The salt pan looks like a sheet of ice that extends further than you can see, with a thin layer of water over it much of the year. The amazing reflections in the salt provided some amazing photographic opportunities.
